Beira-Mar management will apply the “golden rule”

Sport Clube Beira-Mar has scheduled an Ordinary General Meeting for the 31st, with a view to assessing and approving the Accounts Report for the past season and presenting the current status of the process of establishing the future sports company dedicated to football. In addition to these points, this meeting will also inform members of the application of the so-called "golden rule," set out in Article 27, No. 4 of the club's Bylaws. This statutory provision stipulates that the current board may hold the previous board, chaired by Afonso Miranda, accountable for any increase in liabilities or any financial imbalances recorded during their term, in this case for the 2021-2024 three-year period.
It should be remembered that, at the General Meeting held on October 25th of last year, a negative balance of 289,086.71 euros was presented for the aforementioned management period between 2021 and 2023. Therefore, the next general meeting, which could be historic if the application of the "golden rule" is confirmed, is scheduled to start at 8:30 pm, in the António José Bartolomeu Auditorium, on Floor -1 of the Aveiro Municipal Stadium - Mário Duarte.
